For over 35 years I have been providing psychiatric care to individuals, couples & families. I have been board certified in General Psychiatry and in Geriatric Psychiatry. I have treated people with all mental conditions including reactions to stress, OCD & phobias, dissociation, dilemmas encountered throughout life and disorders of mood, thinking, anxiety, attention, personality, substance use & sexual function. I have had extensive experience treating individuals who also have medical problems - especially those with multiple sclerosis, chronic pain and physical rehabilitation needs.

My MD degree is from the University of Minnesota. I completed a psychiatric residency at Columbia University followed by a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholarship & a master's degree in public health. I've been Director of the Crisis Unit of the Rockland County Mental Health Center, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, staff psychiatrist at Helen Hayes Hospital, supervisor of counseling at the American Cancer Society, a Medical Board member of Executive Health Exams International, consulting psychiatrist to The Standard Insurance Company and President of the West Hudson Psychiatric Society.
